Reduces the rough nois e in the background t o give a
greater feeling of depth.
When “24p Output” is set to “On”, this function may not

≥Integrated NR:
Smoothes block noise and reduces the smudging that
appears around contrasting sections of the picture.

Progressive

Select the method of conversion for progressive output to
suit the type of materi al being played.
≥When the content is dis torted change the se ttings from
“Auto” to “Video”.

24p

Movies and other material recorded on DVD-Video at 24p
are output at 24p.
≥Only when you have selected “On” in “24p Output” (31).
Sound Effects*1, *2
Select the sound effect.
≥Digital Tube Sound [BDT310] [BDT215] [BDT21 0] :
This feature gives you warm sound, like that produced by
a vacuum tube amplifier.
≥Re-master :
This feature gives you brighter sound by increasing the
high frequency portion of the audio. (Discs recorded at
48k H z or les s )
Recommended setting
≥Night Surround :
Enjoy a movie with powerful sound even when t he volume
is kept low at night. The audio is set in such a way that it
can be heard easily.
Dialog Enhancer*2
The volume of the center channel is raised to make dialog
easier to hear.
High Clarity Sound [BDT310] [BDT215] [BDT210]
When connected to TV via the HD MI terminal for outputting
image, it produces cleare r sound.
≥Only when you have sele cted “Enable” in “High C larity
Sound” (30).
*1 Not every function can be set individually.
*2 This function is effective for audio from the HDMI terminal or the
OPTICAL terminal only when “Digital Audio Output” is set to “PCM”
