Still Mode (paused video)

Select the type of picture shown when you pause playback.

Seamless Play

The chapter segments in playlists are played seamlessly.
Select “On”, when the p icture freezes for a mo ment at the
chapters segment in playlist s.

Black Level Control

Select lighter or darker fo r adjusting the black leve l control to
the desired setting for pictu re enhancement.

Dynamic Range Compression

You can listen at low volumes but still hear dialog clearly.
(Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD only)
“Auto” is effective only when playing Dolby TrueHD.

Digital Audio Output

Press [OK] to show the followin g settings:

PCM Down Conversion

Select how to output audio with a sampling fr equency of
96kHz for the PCM output from the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT.
If “On” is selected, the signals th at are converted to
48kHz are output.
If “Off” is selected, and the conn ected equipment does not
support 96kHz, the sound will not be output normally.
Signals are converted to 48 kHz despite the settings in the
following cases:
when the signals have a sampling frequency of 192kHz
when the disc has co py protection
when “BD-Video Second ary Audio” is set to “On”

Downmix

Select the downmix sy stem of multi-channel to 2-channel
sound.
Select “Surround encoded”, when the connected
equipment supports the virtu al sur ro un d function.
There is no effect on “Bi tstream” via HDMI AV OUT an d
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT.
The audio will be output in “Stereo” in the following c ases:
AVCHD playback
Playback of secondary au dio (including the button clic k
sound).

7.1ch Audio Reformatting

Surround sound with 6 .1ch or less is automa tically
expanded and played back at 7.1ch.
If “Off” is selected, sound is played over the original
number of channels. (Note tha t in the case of 6.1ch audio,
playback will be at 5.1ch.)
Audio reformatting is enabled in the following cases:
When you have sele cted “PCM” in “Digital A udio
Output”.
When the audio is Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus,
Dolby TrueHD or LPCM.
BD-Video playback
High Clarity Sound [BDT310] [BDT215] [BDT210]
When connected to TV via the HD MI terminal for outputting
image, it produces cleare r sound.
Set to “Enable” and then set “High Clarity Sound” on the
Playback menu to “On”. (28)

Audio Delay

Synchronization between picture and sound is corrected by
adjusting the delay time of the audio output.
Video
Auto Automatically selects th e type of picture shown.
Field Select if jittering occurs when “Aut o” is sele c ted .
Frame Select if small text or fine patter n s ca nn ot be
seen clearly when “Auto” is selected.

DTS/DTS-HD

Select the audio signal to output.
Select “PCM”, when the connected equipment ca nnot
decode the respective audio for m a t. T hi s un it de co des
the audio format and trans mits to the connected
equipment.
Not making the proper s ettings may result i n noise.

BD-Video Secondary Audio

Select whether to mix or not mix the primary audio and
secondary audio (includ ing the button click sound ). (19)
If “Off” is selected, the unit outputs th e primary audio
only.
