Installing Software for Windows

Using Plug and Play

Turn on the printer, then the scanner.

When the “
Ready
” is displayed on the printer’s LCD , turn
on the computer and start Windows 95.
The New Hardware Found window is displayed for a few seconds,
then the Update Device Driver Wizard window is displayed.

Insert the
KX-PS8100 CD-ROM Disc2
in your CD-ROM
drive.

Click
[NextÃ]
.

Click
[Other\Locations...]
.
The Select Other Location window is displayed.

Type “X*:\WIN32\DISK1”.
*CD-ROM drive name differs depending on your computer.

Click
[OK]
.
The Update Device Driver Wizard window is displayed.

Click
[Finish]
.
The Choose Setup Language window is displayed.

Select the language, and click
[OK]
.
Wait until the Welcome window is displayed.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the
installation.
After installation, restart your system.

The Plug and Play installation procedure varies depending on the version
of Windows 95. Refer to Help in Windows 95.
