Installing Software for Windows
To install the KX-PS8100 as a local PostScript printer:

Insert the KX-PS8100 CD-ROM Disc1 in your CD-ROM
drive.
The installer is launched automatically. Follow the instructions that
appear on the screen.

In the Setup Type window, select the Typical,
Compact, or Custom installation option.

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
A message appears on the screen to indicate installation is
complete.
If this is the first PostScript printer installed on your computer and you
attempt to install the KX-PS8100 PPD, the Files Needed window will
appear, prompting you to locate the PostScript driver PSCRIPT.DLL for
Windows NT 4.0.
To complete the installation if PostScript files are needed:

Eject the KX-PS8100 CD-ROM Disc1 and insert the
Installation CD for Windows NT 4.0.

In the text field, type the name of the CD-ROM drive (for
example, D:\), and click [Browse...].

Browse to the i386 (the directory containing the
PostScript driver).

Click [OK], and then click [OK] in the Files Needed
window.
When installation is complete, the Printers window appears with an
icon for the newly installed printer.
Choose this To install
Typical The Adobe PostScript Printer Driver files and
the KX-PS8100 PPD.
Also copies the Color Reference files.
Compact The Adobe PostScript Printer Driver files.
Custom Only the files you select—copies them to your
hard disk.
