I cannot make or receive calls. LThe AC adaptor or telephone line cord is not
connected. Check the connections.
LIf you are using a BT double adaptor to connect the
unit, remove the adaptor and connect the unit to the
phone wall socket directly. If the unit operates
properly, check or replace the adaptor.
LDisconnect the base unit from the telephone line
and connect the line to a known working telephone.
If the working telephone operates properly, contact
our service personnel to have the unit repaired. If
the working telephone does not operate properly,
contact your service provider/telephone company.
LYou dialled a call restricted number (page 18).
LThe unit is not designed to be used with rotary
(pulse dialling) services.
The unit does not ring. LThe ringer volume is turned off. Adjust the ringer
volume (page 15, 17).
The batteries should be charging
but the battery icon does not
change.
LClean the charge contacts and charge again (page
8).
A busy tone is heard when {C} is
pressed.
LThe handset is too far from the base unit. Move
closer and try again.
LAnother handset is in use. Wait and try again later.
Static is heard, sound cuts in and
out. Interference from other
electrical units.
LPlace the handset and the base unit away from
other electrical appliances.
LMove closer to the base unit.
LYour unit is connected to a telephone line with
ADSL (JetStream) service. We recommend that
you contact your ADSL service provid er to have an
ADSL Splitter installed. We do not recommend the
use of generic ADSL filters. Contact your ADSL
service provider for details.
Noise is heard during a call. LYou are using the handset or base unit in an area
with high electrical interference. Place the handset
and base unit away from interference sources, such
as antennas and mobile phones.
The handset stops working while
being used.
LDisconnect the AC adaptor and turn off the
handset. Connect the AC adaptor, turn on the
handset and try again.
Pressing {R} does not
display/dial the last number dialled.
LThe redialled number was more than 24 digits long.
Redial the number manually.
The handset beeps intermittently
and/or 7 flashes.
LFully charge the batteries (page 8).
