Problem Cause/solution
I cannot connect my
headset to the base unit.
RConfirm that your headset is turned on.
RIf your headset is already connected to another
Bluetooth device such as your cellular phone,
disconnect the headset from your cellular phone,
then perform the connecting procedure from the
base unit.
RIf someone is using a cellular line, you cannot
connect the headset. There can be only one active
Bluetooth connection at a time.
RThe headset has not been registered to the base
unit. Register the headset (page 55).
Some headset enhanced
features are not available.
RThe base unit does not support enhanced features
such as Last number redial or Call reject.
An error tone is heard
when I try to program the
Bluetooth feature.
RThe bluetooth feature cannot be accessed
immediately after connecting the AC adaptor to
the base unit. Wait a few seconds and try again.
RThe headset has not connected to the base unit
yet, even though you performed the connecting
procedure setting. Wait a few seconds and try
again.
Answering system
Problem Cause/solution
The unit does not record
new messages.
RThe answering system is turned off. Turn it on
(page 57).
RThe answering system does not answer or record
calls from cellular lines.
RThe message memory is full. Erase unnecessary
messages (page 59).
RThe recording time is set to “Greeting only”.
Change the setting (page 62).
RIf you subscribe to a voice mail service, messages
are recorded by your service provider/telephone
company, not your telephone. Change the unit’s
number of rings setting or contact your service
provider/telephone company (page 62).
RThe answering system will not answer incoming
calls while:
– the base unit or 2 or more handsets are on a
cellular call or an intercom call.
– a headset is in use.
Caller information is recorded in the caller list.
