Recording from an external unit
Note
You can use SD cards with capacities between 8MB and 1GB on this unit. (⇒ page 6)
Preparation
1Connect the external unit (⇒ page 34).
2Turn on the power.
3Insert the SD card (⇒ page 8) or the cassette tape (⇒ page 19).
4If recording to SD card, press [REC MODE] to select XP, SP or LP mode.
•With satellite and cable sources, tune to the desired broadcasting station.
Recording to cards
(Normal recording only)
1Press [TUNER/AUX] to select “AUX”.
2Press [EDIT MODE] to select a recording method.
MANUAL
SYNCHRO: Recording starts automatically when you start play on the connected equipment.
TIME MARK: A track mark is automatically added every 5 minutes.
3While pressing [*/h REC], press [SD, -HI-SPEED

To change the input level
Before recording external sources with low volume to a SD card or a cassette tape
1Start play on the external source.
2Press [TUNER/AUX] to select “AUX”.
3Press [PLAY MODE,

•There may be an error in the recording time depending on the sound source and the recording method.
•When you have selected “SYNCHRO”, recording pauses if a
•Depending on the type of tracks being recorded, the beginning of tracks may be cut off or recording of tracks with low volume may stop partway when you have selected “SYNCHRO” mode. Select “MANUAL” if this happens.
•Recording automatically stops when the end of the side of the tape being recorded to is reached.
