• When there a re more than eight groups, the eigh th group onwards will be displaye d on one vertical line in the menu
screen.

• This unit c annot play fi les recorded using packet write.
DVD-RAM
• Discs mu st conform to UDF 2.0.
DVD-R/RW
• Discs mus t conform to UDF bridge (UDF 1.02/ISO 9660).
• This unit do es not support multi-se ssion. Only the default sessi on is played.
CD-R/RW
• Discs mu st conform to ISO9660 level 1 or 2 (exce pt for extended formats).
• This unit sup ports multi-session b ut if there are many sessions it ta kes more time for play to start. Keep th e number of
sessions to a minimum to avoid this.

Naming folders and fi les

Files are treated as contents and folders are treated as groups on this unit.
At the time of recording, prefi x folder and fi le names. This should be with numbers that have
an equal number of digits, an d should be done in the order you want to p lay them (this may
not work at times). Files must have t he extension (\ see below).
(Extension: “.WMA” or “.wma”)
• Compati ble compression rate: bet ween 48 kbps and 320 kbps.
• You cannot play WMA fi les that are copy-protected.
• This unit do es not support Multiple Bi t Rate (MBR).
(Extension: “.MP3” or “.mp3”)
• Compati ble compression rate: bet ween 32 kbps and 320 kbps.
• This unit do es not support ID3 tags.

• Compatible sampling rates:
– DVD-RAM, DVD-R/RW: 11.02, 12, 22.05, 24, 44.1 and 48 kHz
– CD-R/RW: 8, 11.02, 12, 16, 22.05, 24, 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz

• JPEG fi les taken on a digital camera that conform to DCF S tandard (Design rule for Came ra File system) Version 1.0 are
displayed. Files that have been al tered, edited or saved with co mputer picture editing so ftware may not be displayed.
• This unit c annot display moving pictur es, MOTION JPEG and other such formats, and s till pictures other than JPEG
(Example: TIFF), or play pictures w ith attached audio.
• Do not att ach labels or stickers to dis cs. This may cause
disc warping, rendering it un usable.
• Do not writ e on the label side with a ball-p oint pen or
other writing instrument .
• Do not use re cord cleaning sprays, benzine, th inner,
static electricit y prevention liquids or any other so lvent.
• Do not use sc ratch-proof protector s or covers.
• Do not use the f ollowing discs:
– Discs with exposed adhesive from removed stickers or
labels (rented discs, etc).
– Discs that are badly warped or cracked.
– Irregularly shaped discs, such as heart shapes.
