GETTING STARTED
Connect to the various television terminals.
• Do not conn ect the unit through a video c assette recorder.
• Due to copy gu ard protection, the pictur e may not be displayed correct ly.
• Turn the television of f before connecting, and r efer to the television’s operating ins tructions.

Use the HDMI connection to enj oy higher quality audio and vid eo with a single cable.
• Set “Video Mode” to “O n” and “Audio Output” to “On” (\ pag e 24, “HDMI” tab).
• Set “Video Output M ode” (\ page 20, Picture Menu).

If your Panasonic television is a VIERA Li nk compatible television, you c an operate your television sync hronising
with home theater operati ons or vice versa (\ page 32).

• Make the ext ra audio connecti on (\ page 31) when you use “HDAVI Control” fu nction.
• It is recom mended that you use Panas onic’s HDMI cable.

Using the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminals
These terminals can be use d for either interlaced or pro gressive output. Connect ion using these terminals
outputs the color dif ference signals (PB/PR) and luminance si gnal (Y) separately in orde r to achieve high fi delity in
reproducing colors.
• The description of the c omponent video input term inals depends on the televisio n or monitor (example: Y/PB/PR,
Y/B-Y/R-Y, Y/CB/CR).
• Connect to terminals of t he same color.
