Setup example

Place the front, center, and surroun d speakers at approximately th e same distance from the seati ng position.
The angles in the diagram are ap proximate.
Placement of speakers
Use only su pplied speakers
Using other speakers can da mage the unit, and sound
quality will be negative ly affected.
• Place spe akers on fl at secure bases. Take proper
precautions to prevent the sp eakers from falling if you
cannot set them up on an even surfa ce.
• Placing sp eakers too close to fl oors, walls, and corners
can result in excessive bass. Cove r walls and windows
with thick curtains.
Main unit
• Keep your spe akers at least 10 mm away from the
system for proper ventilatio n.
• To allow for proper ven tilation and to maintain goo d
airfl ow around the main unit, position it with at least 5 cm
of space on all sides.
• Do not bloc k the ventilation holes of the main u nit.
CAUTION!
• Refrain from holding the s peaker’s net.
Center speaker
• Vibratio n caused by the center speaker c an disrupt the
picture if it is placed dir ectly on the television. Put the
center speaker on a rack or she lf.
• To prevent the speaker s from falling, do not place direc tly
on top of the television.
Subwoofer
• Place to the r ight or left of the television, on th e fl oor or
a sturdy shelf so that it will not c ause vibration. Leave a
space of 30 cm from the televisi on.
Note
You can damage you r speakers and short en their useful life if
you play sound at high levels over ex tended periods.
Reduce t he volume in the following c ases to avoid damage:
– When playing d istorted sound.
– When the spea kers are reverberatin g due to a record player,
noise from FM broadcas ts, or continuous signa ls from an
oscillator, test disc, or ele ctronic instrumen t.
– When adjust ing the sound quality.
– When turnin g the unit on or off.
If irregular coloring occurs on your television
The front and center speake rs are designed to be used
close to a television, but the pi cture may be affected wit h
some televisions and setup c ombinations.
If this occurs, turn the t elevision off for about 3 0
minutes.
The television’s demagnetizing fun ction should correct th e
problem. If it persists, move t he speakers further away from
the television.
Caution
The main u nit and supplied speake rs are to be
used only as indicated i n this setup. Failure to
do so may lead to damage to th e amplifi er and/or
the speakers, and may r esult in the risk of fi re.
Consult a qualifi ed service person if damag e has
occurred or if you experie nce a sudden change in
performance.
Do not att empt to attach these sp eakers to walls
using methods other t han those described in t his
manual.
