Using the radio

Automatic presetting

1 To select “FM”.

Release the
button when
“FM AUTO” is
displayed.
The tuner tunes to the lowest frequency and starts to
preset all the stations it can receive into the channels
in ascending order.
• “SE T OK” is displayed when the stati ons are set,
and the radio tunes to the last p reset station.
• “ERROR ” is displayed when automatic pre setting
is unsuccessful. Preset t he channels manually
(\ see left).

Manual tuning

1 To select “FM”.

2 To select “MANUAL”.
(main unit)
3 To select the frequency.
OR
(main unit) (rem ote control)
Press and hold [4 TUNE 3] until the frequency starts
scrolling to start automatic tuning. Tuning stops when
a station is found.
Presetting the channel
Up to 30 stations can be set for FM .
1. While listening to the radio broadcast
Press [ENTER].
2. While the frequency and “PGM” are fl ashing on the
display
Press the numeric buttons to select a channel.
To select a 2-digit number
Example: To select 12,

Alternatively, press [4, 3], then press [ENTER].
The station occupying a channel is erased if another
station is preset to that channel.

Selecting the preset channels

1 To select “FM”.
2 To select the channel.

rst press [-TUNE MODE] to select
“PRESET”, and then press
[4 TUNE 3] to select the channel.
When a stereo FM broadcast is
being received, “ST” ligh ts in the
display.
If noise is excessive in FM
Main unit only
Press and hold [– FM MODE] to display “MONO”.
Press and hold [– FM MODE] again to cancel the mo de.
The mode is also cancelle d when you change the
frequency.
