You can connect to an analogue player with a built-in phone
equalizer.
1 Press [EXT-IN] repeatedly until “AUX” is displayed.
2 For listening : Proceed to step 3.
For recording : Press [* REC, TAPE] on the main unit to
start recording (Recording page 25).
Press [* REC, USB] on the main unit to
start recording (Recording page 26).
3 Playback from the external source.
For details, refer to the instruction manual of the unit which is
to be connected.
When units other than those described above are to be
connected, please consult your audio dealer.
Sound distortion may occur when you use an adaptor other
than the one supplied.

Using an external unit

Enjoy the powerful movie theater and hall-like sound available
with multiple channel audio found on DVD-Video by connecting
an amplifier and speakers.
Recording Output
With DVD, the following conditions must be met:
a) the disc does not have protection preventing digital
recording, and
b) the recording equipment can handle signals with a
sampling frequency of 48 kHz.
You cannot record WMA/MP3.
When recording DVDs, make the following settings.
– “SURROUND”: “STANDARD” ( page 29).
– “PCM OUTPUT”: “UP TO 48kHz” ( page 23, “AUDIO”
menu).
– “DOLBY DIGITAL”/“DTS”/“MPEG”: “PCM” ( page 23,
“AUDIO” menu).

