• If a name is long, parts of it may not be shown in some screens.

Preparation

•Press SD or DVD to select the drive.

•Release protection before proceeding:

- Cartridge (p. 9) RAM

- Disc (p. 60) RAM

- Write Protect (p. 11) SD

• Repeat this step to enter other characters.

To erase a character

Press ▲▼◄► to select the character in the name field and press PAUSE.

•You can also erase characters by selecting “ERASE” and pressing ENTER.

Using the NUMBER keys to enter characters

e.g., entering the letter “R”

a.	Press 7 to move to the 7th row.
		5	J	K		L
b.	Press 7 twice to highlight “R”.
		7 6	M 7	N	7	O
c.	Press ENTER.
		7	P	Q		R	S
	To enter a space
		8	T	U		V

Press CANCEL and press ENTER.

3 Press STOP.

•You can also finish entering the title by selecting “SET” and pressing

ENTER.

•Returns to the previously displayed screen.

To end partway

Press RETURN.

•Text is not saved.

Notes:

•The full title is shown in the Properties screen (pp. 52, 59), but if you enter a long title, only part of it is shown in the program list or play list screen.

•DVD-RIf you enter a long title, only part of it is shown in the menu screen after finalization.

•Still picture folder titles:

•Titles are saved in the “TITLE.DVD” folder and can only be displayed on this unit.

•Input is not possible if the destination lacks sufficient space or has exceeded the maximum number of allowable files.

•The title may not appear correctly if input was done using other equipment.
