Before Requesting Service

Check the following points once again if you are having trouble with your unit.

No power...	• Insert the AC power supply cord securely into a known active AC outlet.		15

Cannot operate the DVD...	• Press DVD when operating DVD.		34

Cannot operate the SD (Card)...	• Press SD when operating card.		34
The unit is on but cannot be operated...	• Recording drive or playback drive have not been selected properly.		34
	• Some operations may be prohibited by the disc.		36~37
	• The unit is hot (“U14” appears on the display). Wait until “U14” disappears.		71
	• One of the unit’s safety devices may have been activated.
	Reset the unit as follows:
	(1) Press POWER on the main unit to switch to standby. If the unit doesn’t switch to		–
		standby, press and hold POWER on the main unit for about 10 seconds. The unit
		is forcibly switched to standby. Alternatively, disconnect the AC power supply cord,
		wait 1 minute, then reconnect it.
	(2) Press POWER to turn the unit on.
Cannot eject a disc...	• The Disc Tray can be locked/unlocked.
	[Lock]
	1	Turn the unit Power ON.	–
	2	Simultaneously press STOP on the unit and POWER on the Remote Control.

[Unlock]

Repeat above steps to unlock.

	• If the steps above do not work, there may be a unit malfunction. With unit in OFF
	condition, hold down both STOP and CH ▲ buttons on the unit for about 5 seconds.
	Remove disc. Contact your retailer.
The Remote Control doesn’t work...	• The batteries are depleted. Replace them with new ones.	8
	• Point the Remote Control at the Remote Control sensor on the main unit.
	• Remove obstacles between the Remote Control and main unit.	–
The images from this unit do not appear on	• Make sure your antenna system (TV or CABLE) is correctly set.	15

Picture flickers...	• Make sure the antenna location, direction or connection.	15
Picture is not sharp...
	• The unit may be receiving influence, such as electromagnetic wave interference or
