Installing Software

Before installing the DVD-RAM driver on the CD-ROM provided with this DVD Palmcorder, make sure that another DVD-RAM driver has not already been installed in your PC.

If another DVD-RAM driver has already been installed, uninstall it, and then install the DVD-RAM driver bundled on the provided CD-ROM. Uninstall the previous DVD-RAM driver by choosing “Add/Remove Programs” or “Add/Remove Applications” on Windows® Control Panel.

If any question messages appear that mean “This file is not used on another application. Do you wish to delete it together?” during uninstalling, click “No” for all such questions.

Note:

This guide uses the screen of Windows® XP to explain in stalling software: Use the same procedure for Windows® 98 Second Edition/Me/2000 Professional to install the DVD-RAM driver.

This unit may not be operated with the Pentium® compatible CPU not made by

 

Intel® or AMD®.

 

This unit also may not be operated with K6-2/K6-III by AMD®.

: 128 MB or more

Free disk space

: 400 MB or more (not including the space for which images and stills are copied and

 

edited)

Display resolution

: 1024 × 768 dots or more

Display mode

: High Color (16 bits), 65,536 colors or more (Display adapter supported by DirectX®

 

8.1, video memory ; 4 MB or more.)

Sound card

: This unit requires sound card supported by DirectSound®.

USB

: This unit requires one USB port.

Operations will not be guaranteed under the following conditions.

The OS other than Windows® 98 Second Edition/Me/2000 Professional/XP is installed.

Operating computers installing Pentium® compatible CPU not made by Intel® or AMD®.

Connecting this unit to your computer through a USB hub.

Connecting this unit to your computer without the provided USB Cable and 5 pin Mini USB Cable of type B(Generally available).

Connecting USB equipments other than the keyboard, the mouse and this unit to your computer.

This unit does not support multiprocessors.

In some cases, defects or limitations may occur depending on the combinations of other software or devices despite the fact that your computer satisfies the conditions described above.
