To configure an external modem:

1.Disconnect the asynchronous terminal from the standard cable. See page C-4for an illustration of the COM Port connection.

2.Reconnect the crossover cable to the external modem.

3.Enable auto-answer on the modem, and configure it to use the following LSD, DSR, CTS, RTS, and DTR control leads.

See the table below for AT D0 command strings. Use the following command string:
