36 Timer Recording

VCR

Follow the steps below to program your DVD/VCR to record TV programs while you’re away from home. The DVD/VCR will turn itself on, record, and turn itself off automatically. Before you begin:

Set up the TV channels at the DVD/VCR.Details are on page 17.

Set the clock. If the clock is not set, CLOCK MUST BE SET will appear on the TV screen briefly, followed by the VCR menu. Follow the directions on page 20 to set the VCR’s clock.

Put a tape in the cassette compartment of the DVD/VCR. Make sure the tape’s record tab is intact and the tape is long enough to record the program(s).

Press the DVD/VCR OUTPUT button so that the VCR light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR.

Press the VCR/TV button so that the VCR/TV light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR.

Do each step within 60 seconds of the previous step.

Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button.

Press the PLAY button or the STOP button to select PROGRAM, then press the F.FWD button.

ONCE DAILY WEEKLY PROGRAM REVIEW

Press the PLAY button or the STOP button to select a ONCE, DAILY, or WEEKLY recording. Then, press the F.FWD button.

ONCE: The DVD/VCR will record a TV program on any day you choose, up to 12 months away.

DAILY: The DVD/VCR will record the same channel every day from Monday to Friday – starting at the same time and recording for the same length of time.

WEEKLY: The DVD/VCR will record the same channel on the same day, at the same time, and for the same length of time

every week.

Helpful Hint

If you need to make a correction while programming a timer record- ing, press the CLEAR button until the cursor is flashing on the item you want to change. Then enter the correct information.
