Pause Live TV

With [PAUSE LIVE TV], even if you leave your couch while you are watching TV through this unit, you can come back and watch the rest of the program from right where you left at any convenient time with just one touch of a button.

 

When you leave the TV, press [PAUSE

 

LIVE TV] twice.

 

With the first press, the unit will start recording

 

1 the TV broadcast.

 

With the second press, the unit will be in the

 

pause mode as soon as it starts the time shift

 

playback (refer to page 73). (It is as if you paused

 

the live TV broadcast.)

 

When you come back, press [PAUSE

 

LIVE TV] again.

 

The pause mode will be canceled, and the

 

2 playback will start from the point you pressed

 

the button for the second time in step 1.

 

• While viewing the recorded content, you can

 

pause and resume the playback by pressing

 

[PAUSE LIVE TV].

 

Press Stop once to resume Live TV.

 

Press Stop twice to stop PAUSE LIVE TV MODE.

If you press [PAUSE LIVE TV] when the unit is in DVD mode, the output mode will automatically be switched to HDD, and the unit will start the time shift playback of the title being recorded.

You can also use the special playback functions such as [REW E ], [FFW D] etc. during pause live TV mode.

The programs you recorded with [PAUSE LIVE TV] will not be stored in the title list.

[REC I] is invalid during pause live TV mode.

You can no longer fast forward the playback when it comes to a few second before the current recording point.

Pause live TV mode will stop not only when you press [STOP C] twice, but also when the disc runs out of space, when the recording time exceeds 12 hours, or when it comes to 2 minutes before timer recording.
