Youcan use your video recorder as an audio tape recorder.
Youcan record the sound from a hifi unit or a second video
recorder.
aUsean audio cable to connect your hifi to the
AUXIN L R socketat the back of the video recorder.
bSelectthe programme number from which you want to
makethe ’audio only’ recording, using the P;or
P=button(for example, ’AUX’ for the
AUXIN L R socket).
cPressthe MENU button. The main menuwill appear.
dSelectthe line ’RECORD FUNCTIONS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
eSelectthe line ’AUDIO ONLY’ with the menu buttons
P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
fTostart sound recording, press the nRECORD/OTR button.
gTostop recording, press the STOPhbutton.
hToend, press the MENUbutton.
Manual audio control
Withthe MANUALbutton you can switch to manual audio
control.
aPressthe MANUALbutton on the video recorder. The
currentselection will appear in the video recorder
display.
bKeeppressing the MANUALbutton until ’MAN’(manual
audiocontrol) appears on the display.
cWiththe PROGRAMME;and PROGRAMME=buttons on
thevideo recorder, adjust the recording level so that the
’0dB’ mark lights up during the loudest parts of the
recording.
DAtstep byou can switch back to ’AUTO.’ (automatic
audiocontrol) with the Pbutton.
Audio dubbing
Thisfunction allows you to replace (dub) the soundtrack of an
existingrecording with another soundtrack. To do this,
connectyour audio equipment (for examle, a CD player) to the
L-AUDIO-R socket.You can also connect a microphone to the
socket MIC. .
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button. The main menuwill appear.
cSelectthe line ’RECORD FUNCTIONS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
dSelectthe line ’AUDIO DUBBING’ with the menu buttons
P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
eSelectthe programme number for the audio equipment
(forexample, ’E3’). Then switch on the audio equipment.
fFindthe position on the tape where you want the audio
dubbingto end.
gPressthe STILL/JOG ON Rbutton. ’STILL’ will appear on
theTV screen.
hPressthe CLEAR(CL) button. ’0:00:00’ will appear on the
TVscreen.
iFindthe position on the tape where you want the audio
dubbingto start.
jPressthe STILL/JOG ON Rbutton. ’STILL’ will appear on
theTV screen.
