aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu will appear.
cSelectthe line ’RECORD FUNCTIONS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
dSelectthe line ’SYNCHRO EDIT’ with the menu buttons
P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
eTheon-screen display for the connected camera
recorderwill appear on the TV screen.
fSearchthe beginning of the recording on the video
recorder.
gPressthe STILL/JOGON Rbutton. ’STILL’ will appear on
theTV screen.
hUsethe SELECT button to switch to the picture of the
camerarecorder.
iSearchthe beginning of the recording on the camera
recorder.Then, switch the camera recorder to ’still
picture’.
Theway you start copying will depend on the type of camera
recorderyou are using.
*Method1 applies if the video recorder is to control the
camerarecorder.
*Method2 applies if the camera recorder is to control the
videorecorder.
Method 1 - If the video recorder is to controlthe camera recorder
aStartcopying with the nRECORD/OTR button on the video
recorder.The camera recorder will start to play and the
videorecorder will start to record.
bStopcopying with the STOP hbutton on the video
recorder.
cEndcopying with the MENU button.
Method 2 - If the camera recorder is tocontrol the video recorder
aStartcopying with the relevant button on the camera
recorder.
Thecamera recorder will start to play and the video
recorderwill start to record.
bStopcopying with the PAUSE or STILL button on the
camerarecorder.
cEndcopying with the MENU button.
Setting the ’preroll time’
Thisis the time that the tape moves before the recording
starts.If the beginning of the recording is missing, this means
thepreroll time was too long. Select a shorter ’preroll time’.
Ifthe recording has started too early, this means the preroll
timewas too short. Select a longer preroll time. You can select
apreroll time of between 1 and 5 seconds.

bSelectthe line ’RECORD FUNCTIONS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
cSelectthe line ’RECORD SETTINGS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
dInthe line ’PREROLL TIME’, adjust the ’preroll time’ with
themenu buttons Por Q.
DYoucan also enter the preroll time with buttons 0-9 .
DByusing the CLEAR(CL) button,you can reset the preroll
timeto suit your camera recorder type.
eConfirmwith the OK buton.
fToend, press the MENU button.
