Switching to 16:9 wide screen picture
Whenyou play a cassette that has been recorded in 16:9 wide
screenformat, you can switch this function ’ON’. The TV set
willnow automatically switch to wide screen. This only works
ifyou have connected the TV set and the video recorder with a
scartcable and if your TV set is suitable for wide screen.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu will appear.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
dIfyou have a wide-screen TV set, select ’ON’ in line
’16:9WIDE SCREEN’. If not, select ’OFF’ with the menu
buttons Por Q.
eConfirmwith the OK button.
fToend, press the MENU button.
Switching the remote control command
Ifyou have two video recorders with the same remote control,
youcan change the commands of the remote control for one
ofthe video recorders to avoid sending the message to the
wrongrecorder.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu will appear.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;andconfirm with the Pbutton.
dSelectthe line ’VCR 1 OR 2’ with the menu buttons
P=or P;.
eSelect’VCR 1’ or ’VCR 2’ with the menu buttons Qor
P.
fConfirmwith the OK button.
gOnthe remote control, press the SELECT button and but-
ton 2atthe same time to switch the remote control to
’VCR2’.
DIfyou want to switch back to ’VCR 1’,press the SELECT
buttonand button 1at the same time.
hConfirmwith the OK button.
DIfthe menu does not disappear, this means the video
recorderdidn’t recognize the remote control command.

DIfyou change the batteries in the remote control, it will
switchback to ’VCR 1’.
DIfyou have entered the wrong remote control command
andyou press a button for a few seconds, a message will
appearon the TV screen or ’VCR 1’ will appear on the
videorecorder display.

Whenthe video recorder reaches the end of the tape or
theend of the recording, it will rewind and start again.
