Thismachine is fitted with an approved moulded 13 Amp plug.
Tochange a fuse in this type of plug, please follow these
instructions.
aTakeoff the fuse cover and take out the fuse.
bPutin a new fuse which should be a BS1362 3A, A.S.T.A.
orBSI approved type.
cRefitthe fuse cover.
Ifthe plug fitted is not suitable for your socket, cut it off and fit
anothertype.
Ifthe plug you fit contains a fuse, it should be a3Amp fuse. If
youfit a plug which does not need a fuse, make sure the fuse
onyour fuse box is not greater than 5 Amps.
DNote:Please destroy the plug you have cut off so that it
cannotbe used in a 13Amp socket somewhere else.
Howto connect a plug
Thewires in the lead from the video recorder are coloured as
follows.
*Blue - ’neutral’ (’N’).
*Brown - ’live’ (’L’).
dConnectthe blue wire to the terminal in the plug which is
markedwith the letter ’N’ or coloured black.
eConnectthe brown wire to the terminal in the plug which
ismarked with the letter ’L’ or coloured red.
fDonot connect either of the wires to the terminal in the
plugwhich is marked with the letter ’E’, the symbol \or
colouredgreen or green and yellow.
Beforeyou refit the plug cover, make sure that the grip at the
bottomof the plug is clamped over the plastic cover of the
lead,not just over the two wires.

Connecting your video recorder to the

TV set

Toinstall your video recorder, you will need to read one of the
following.
EIfyour TV set has ’Easy Link’ or ’NexTView’ - the
paragraph’Connecting with a scart cable and Easy Link
orNexTView’.
EIfyour TV set does not have ’Easy Link’ or ’NexTView’ -
theparagraph ’Connecting with a scart cable without
EasyLink or NexTView’.
EIfyou do not use a scart cable - the paragraph
’Connectingwithout a scart cable’.

EasyLink and NexTView allow your video recorder to
exchangeinformation with the television. Please follow the
operatinginstructions you received with your television.
aTakethe aerial cable plug out of your TV set and put it
intothe 2socketon the back of the video recorder.
bPlugone end of the aerial cable provided into the TV
socketon the video recorder. Then plug theother end
intothe aerial input socket on your TV set.
cPlugone end of the scart cable provided into the
AV1EXT1 scart socket on the back of the video recorder.
Thenplug the other end into the scart socket on your
TVset.
