Youcan only use this function when you have a satellite
receiverwhich can control other equipment by a
’programming’function.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu will appear.
cSelectthe line ’RECORD FUNCTIONS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;,and confirm with the
Pbutton.
dSelectthe line ’RECORD SETTINGS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;,and confirm with the
Pbutton.
eSelectthe line ’SAT RECORD’ with the menu buttons
P=or P;.
fSelectthe scart socket you want to use with the menu
buttons Qor P.
Ifyou want to switch off the function, select ’OFF’ with
themenu buttons Por Q.
gConfirmwith the OK button.
hUsea scart cable to connect the scart socket you have
selectedon the video recorder to the scart socket on the
satellitereceiver.
iPuta cassette into the machine.
jToend, press the mSTANDBY button. The video recorder
isnow ready to record.
DWhenthis function is switched on, ’x’ appears on the
videorecorder display.
Direct record
Whenthis function is switched on and the video recorder is
switchedto standby, the video recorder will automatically
recordthe programme number selected on the television.
DIfyou are following the instructions on page 2 under
’Connectingwith a scart cable and Easy Link or
NexTView’,the video recorder will also take the
programmenumber from the TV setautomatically when
thevideo recorder is switched on.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu will appear.
cSelectthe line ’RECORD FUNCTIONS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;,and confirm with the
Pbutton.
dSelectthe line ’RECORD SETTINGS’ with the menu
buttons P=or P;,and confirm with the
Pbutton.
eSelectthe line ’DIRECT RECORD’ with the menu buttons
P=or P;.
fSelectthe function ’ON’ with the menu buttons Qor
P.
gConfirmwith the OK button.
hToend, press the MENU button.
iSwitchoff the video recorder with the
mSTANDBY button.
jOnthe TV set, select the programme number you want to
recordfrom.
kPressthe nRECORD/OTR button with the video recorder
switchedoff.
DDon’tselect another programme number on your TV set
untilthe ’search symbol’ on your video recorder display
disappears.This can take up to one minute.
DIf’NOTV’ appears on the video recorder display, this
meansthe video recorder cannot find that channel. The
videorecorder will then switch off automatically.
