The front of the set
STANDBYmStandby This switches off the set. If you press STANDBYm, it will automatically cancel
anymenu you have chosen and will stop TIMER recording.
RECORDnRecord This records the TV channel you have selected at that moment.
PROGRAMME;Programme number plus This changes to the next numbered programme (for example,
2to 3).
PROGRAMME=Programme number minus This changes to the previous numbered programme (for
example,3 to 2).
PLAYGPlayback This plays a recorded cassette.
STOP/EJECT?Pause and stop This stops the tape, except during TIMER recording. If you press it again, it
ejectsthe tape.
STILLRStill picture This stops the tape and shows the picture at that moment as a still picture.
oRotarycontrol Turn the control left: If you have pressed STOP or STANDBY, this rewinds
thecassette. If you have pressed PLAY, this scans the picture in reverse.
Turnthe control right: If you have pressed STOP or STANDBY, this winds the cassette on.
Ifyou have pressed PLAY, this scans the picture forward.

MIC. Microphoneinput socket This is to connect a microphone for dubbing.
PHONES Headphonessocket This is to connect headphones.
L-AUDIO-R Audioinput socket left/right This is to connect the audio sockets of a camera recorder or
videorecorder.
VIDEO Videoinput socket This is to connect the video sockets of a camera recorder or video
recorder.
SYNCHROEDIT EDITinput socket This is to connect a suitable camera recorder.
MANUAL Manualsound control This is to switch between automatic sound control and manual
soundcontrol.

AUXIN L R Audio input sockets, left and right This is to connect a hifi set.
AUXOUT L R Audio output sockets, left and right This is also to connect a hifi set.
AV1EXT1 Scartsocket 1 This is to connect the TV set to the video recorder.
AV2EXT2 Scartsocket 2 This is to connect a satellite receiver, decoder, video recorder and so on.
2Aerialinput socket This is to connect the aerial cable.
TV Aerialoutput socket This is to connect the aerial cable from the TV set.
