Switching the reception mode

If a digital broadcast reception condition gets poor, this unit automatically switches to the analog broadcast of the same frequency level. If this function is set to on, the tuner switches between digital broadcast and analog broad- cast automatically. If this function is off, recep- tion will be conducted within an analog broadcast.

1Use MULTI-CONTROL to select BLENDING in the function menu.

2Press MULTI-CONTROL to select your fa- vorite setting.

Note

If SEEK MODE is set to HD and BLENDING is set to OFF, the tuner can not receive broadcasts. In this case, the seek mode or reception mode is changed automatically as follows:

!When SEEK MODE is set to HD, if you switch BLENDING from ON to OFF, SEEK MODE is changed to ALL.

!When BLENDING is set to OFF, if you switch

SEEK MODE from ALL to HD, BLENDING is changed to ON.

Multi-CD Player

Basic Operations

You can use this unit to control a multi-CD player, which is sold separately.

!Only functions described in this manual are supported by 50-disc multi-CD players.

%Select a disc

Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down.

%Fast forward or reverse

Push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or right.

%Select a track

Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right.

Notes

!When multi-CD player completes preparatory operations, READY is displayed.

!If an error message such as ERROR-11 is dis- played, refer to the multi-CD player owner’s manual.

!If there are no discs in the multi-CD player ma- gazine, NO DISC is displayed.

Introduction to advanced operations

You can only use COMP/DBE (compression and DBE) with a multi-CD player that supports them.

1Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the main menu.

2Use MULTI-CONTROL to select

FUNCTION.

Turn to change the menu option. Press to se- lect.

3Turn MULTI-CONTROL to select the function.

REPEAT (repeat play)—RANDOM (random play)—SCAN (scan play)—PAUSE (pause)— COMP/DBE (compression and DBE)—

ITS PLAY (ITS play)—ITS MEMORY (ITS pro-

gramming)

# If you do not operate functions other than ITS MEMORY within about 30 seconds, the dis- play automatically returns to the ordinary display.

Function and operation

REPEAT, RANDOM, SCAN and PAUSE opera- tions are basically the same as that of the built-in CD player.
