Playing a CD
Youcan use this unit to control a multi-CD
player,which is sold separately.
Theseare the basic steps necessar y to play a
CDwith your multi-CD player. More advanced
CDoperation is explained starting on the next
page.
1Discnumber indicator
Showsthe disc currently playing.
2Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack.
3Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track currently playing.
1 PressSOURCE to select the multi-CD
player.
PressSOURCE until multi-CD is selected as
thesource.
2 UseVOLUME to adjust the sound level.
Rotateto increase or decrease the volume.
3 Selecta disc you want to listen to with
the16 buttons.
Fordiscs located at 1 to 6, press the corre-
spondingnumber button.
Ifyou want to select a disc located at 7 to 12,
pressand hold the corresponding numbers
suchas 1for disc 7, until the disc number ap-
pearsin the display.
#Youcan also sequentially select a disc by
pressinga/b.
4 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pressand hold cor d.
5 Toskip back or forward to another
track,press cor d.
Pressingdskips to the start of the next track.
Pressingconce skips to the start of the cur-
renttrack. Pressing again will skip to the pre-
vioustrack.
Notes
!Whenthe multi-CD player performs the pre-
paratoryoperations, READY is displayed.
!Ifthe multi-CD player does not operate prop-
erly,an error message such as ERROR-11
maybe displayed. Refer to the multi-CD player
ownersmanual.
!Ifthere are no discs in the multi-CD player ma-
gazine,NO DISC is displayed.
!Whenyou select a CD TEXT disc on a CD TEXT
compatiblemulti-CD player, the disc and track
titlesbegin to scroll to the left auto-
matically.
50-disc multi-CD player
Onlythose functions described in this manual
aresupported for 50-disc multi-CD players.
