!Whenplaying discs with MP3/WMA/WAV files
andaudio data (CD-DA) such as CD-EXTRA
andMIXED-MODE CDs, both types can be
playedonly by switching mode between MP3/
WMA/WAVand CD-DA with BAND.
!Ifyou have switched between playback of
MP3/WMA/WAVfiles and audio data (CD-DA),
playbackstarts at the first track on the disc.
!Thebuilt-in CD player can play back an MP3/
WMA/WAVfile recorded on CD-ROM. (Refer
topage 40 for files that can be played back.)
!Donot insert anything other than a CD into
theCD loading slot.
!Thereis sometimes a delay between starting
upplayback and the sound being issued. This
isparticularly the case when playing back
multi-sessionand many folders. When being
readin, FRMTREAD is displayed.
!Ifyou cannot insert a disc completely or if
afteryou insert a disc the disc does not play,
checkthat the label side of the disc is up.
PressEJECT to eject the disc, and check the
discfor damage before inserting the disc
again.
!Playbackis carried out in order of file number.
Foldersare skipped if they contain no files. (If
folder01 (ROOT) contains no files, playback
commenceswith folder 02.)
!Whenplaying back files recorded as VBR
(variablebit rate) files, the play time will not be
correctlydisplayed if fast forward or reverse
operationsare used.
!Ifinserted disc contains no files that can be
playedback, NO AUDIO is displayed.
!Ifthe inserted disc contains WMA files that
areprotected by digital rights management
(DRM), SKIPPED is displayed while the pro-
tectedfile is skipped.
!Ifall the files on the inserted disc are secured
byDRM, PROTECT is displayed.
!Thereis no sound on fast forward or reverse.
!Ifthe built-in CD player does not operate prop-
erly,an error message such as ERROR-11
maybe displayed. Refer to Understanding
built-inCD player error messages on page 39.
!Whenan MP3/WMA/WAV disc is inserted,
foldername and file name begin to scroll to
theleft automatically.
