Playing MP3/WMA/WAV
Theseare the basic steps necessar y to play an
MP3/WMA/WAVwith your built-in CD player.
Moreadvanced MP3/WMA/WAV operation is
explainedstarting on page 22.
1Foldernumber indicator
Showsthe folder number currently playing.
2MP3indicator
Showswhen the MP3 file is playing.
3WMAindicator
Showswhen the WMA file is playing.
4Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack (file).
5Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track (file) currently playing.
!Ifa track number 100 to 199 is selected,
donthe left of the track number indica-
torwill light.
!Ifa track number 200 or more is selected,
donthe left of the track number indica-
torwill blink.
1 PressOPEN to open the front panel.
CDloading slot appears.
#Aftera CD-ROM has been inserted, press
SOURCEto select the built-in CD player.
2 Inserta CD-ROM into the CD loading
slot.
Playbackwill automatically start.

#Youcan eject a CD-ROM by pressing EJECT.
#Toavoid a malfunction, make sure that no
metalobject comes into contact with the term-
inalswhen the front panel is open.
3 Closethe front panel.
4 UseVOLUME to adjust the sound level.
Rotateto increase or decrease the volume.
5 Pressaor bto select a folder.
#Youcannot select a folder that does not have
anMP3/WMA/WAV file recorded in it.
#Toreturn to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND.However, if folder 01 (ROOT) contains no
files,playback commences with folder 02.
6 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pressand hold cor d.
#Thisis fast forward and reverse operation only
forthe file being played. This operation is can-
celedwhen the previous or next file is reached.
#Ifyou select the search method to ROUGH,
pressingand holding cor denables you to
searchevery ten track in the current folder. (Refer
toSelecting the search method on page 23.)
7 Toskip back or forward to another
track,press cor d.
Pressingdskips to the start of the next track.
Pressingconce skips to the start of the cur-
renttrack. Pressing again will skip to the pre-
vioustrack.
