Displaying disc titles

Youcan display the text information of any
discthat has had a disc title entered.
%PressDISPLAY.
PressDISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing settings:
:disc title—Simple display
Using CD TEXT functions
Somediscs have certain information encoded
onthe disc during manufacture. These discs
maycontain such information as the CD title,
tracktitle, artist’s name and playback time
andare called CD TEXT discs. Only these spe-
ciallyencoded CD TEXT discs support the
functionslisted below.

Displaying text information on

CD TEXT discs

Youcan display the text information of any
discthat has had a disc title entered.
%PressDISPLAY.
PressDISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing settings:
:disc title—: disc artist name—: track
title—:track artist name—: disc title and
:disc artist name—: track title and :
trackartist name—Simple display
#Ifspecific information has not been recorded
ona CD TEXT disc, title or name is not displayed.

Scrollingtext information in

the display

Thisunit can display the first 24 letters ofdisc
title,disc artist name, track title and track ar-
tistname. When the text information is longer
than24 letters, you can scroll the text informa-
tionas follows.
!Whenthe source icon is turned off, this
unitcan display the first 30 letters of textin-
formation.
%PressDISPLAY and hold until the text
informationbegins to scroll through the
display.
Thetitles scroll.
Note
WhenEver Scroll is set to ON at the initial setting,
textinformation scrolls continuously in the dis-
play.Refer to Switching the Ever Scroll on page 63.

Selecting tracks from the track

title list
Tracktitle list lets you see the list of track titles
ona CD TEXT disc and select one of them to
playback.
1 PressLIST to switch to the track titlelist
mode.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-
siredtrack title.
Turnto change the track title; press to play.
#Youcan also change the track title by pushing
MULTI-CONTROLup or down.
#Ifyou do not operate the list within about 30
seconds,the track title list mode is canceled
automatically.
