Note
Evenwhen the sources are off, the clock display
appearson the display. Pressing CLOCK when
thesources and feature demo are off, turns the
clockdisplay on or off.
Using the AUX sourceThisunit can control up to two auxiliar y equip-
mentssuch as VCR or portable devices(sold
separately).When connected, auxiliar y equip-
mentsare automatically read in as AUX
sourcesand assigned to AUX1 or AUX2. The
relationshipbetween AUX1 and AUX2
sourcesis explained below.
About AUX1 and AUX2
Youhave two methods to connect auxiliary
equipmentsto this unit.
AUX1source:
Whenconnecting auxiliar y equipment using a
stereomini plug cable
%Insertthe stereo mini plug intothe
AUXinput jack on this unit.
Formore details, refer to the installation man-
ual.
Theallocation of this auxiliar y equipment is
automaticallyset to AUX1.
AUX2source:
Whenconnecting auxiliar y equipment using an
IP-BUS-RCAInterconnector (sold separately)
%Usean IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector such
asthe CD-RB20/CD-RB10 (sold separetely)
toconnect this unit to auxiliary equipment
featuringRCA output.

connectorowner ’s manual.
Theallocation of this auxiliar y equipment is
automaticallyset to AUX2.
#Youcan only make this type of connection if
theauxiliary equipment has RCA outputs.
Selecting AUX as the source
%PressSOURCE to select AUX (AUX1 or
AUX2)as the source.
PressSOURCE until AUX appears in the dis-
play.
#Ifthe auxiliary setting is not turned on, AUX
cannotbe selected. For more details, see Switch-
ingthe auxiliary setting on page 61.
Setting the AUX title
Thetitle displayed for each AUX1 or AUX2
sourcecan be changed.
1 Afteryou have selected AUX as the
source,use MULTI-CONTROL and select
FUNCTIONto display Title Input.
2 PressDISPLAY to select the desired
charactertype.
PressDISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing character types:
Alphabet(upper case), numbers and symbols
—Alphabet(lower case)—European letters,
suchas those with accents (e.g. á,à,ä,ç)—
Numbersand symbols
