Setting the clock
Usethese instructions to set the clock.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select Clock.
Clockappears in the display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectthe segment of the clock display you
wishto set.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL left or right will se-
lectone segment of the clock display:
HourMinute
Asyou select segments of the clock display
thesegment selected will blink.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
setthe clock.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL up will increase
theselected hour or minute. Pushing
MULTI-CONTROLdown will decrease the se-
lectedhour or minute.
Notes
!Youcan match the clock to a time signal by
pressingMULTI-CONTROL.
Ifthe minute is 00 to 29, the minutes are
roundeddown. (e.g., 10:18 becomes
10:00.)
Ifthe minute is 30 to 59, the minutes are
roundedup. (e.g., 10:36 becomes 11:00.)
!Evenwhen the sources are off, the clock dis-
playappears on the display. Pressing CLOCK
whenthe sources and feature demo are off,
turnsthe clock display on or off.
Setting the FM tuning step
TheFM tuning step employed by seek tuning
canbe switched between 100 kHz, the preset
step,and 50 kHz.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
FMtuning step.
FMtuning step appears in the display.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to select the FM
tuningstep.
PressingMULTI-CONTROL repeatedly will
switchthe FM tuning step between 50 kHz
and100 kHz. The selected FM tuning step will
appearin the display.
Note
Ifseek tuning is performed in 50 kHz steps,sta-
tionsmay be tuned in imprecisely. Tune in the sta-
tionswith manual tuning or use seek tuning
again.
Setting the AM tuning step
TheAM tuning step can be switched between
9kHz, the preset step, and 10 kHz. When
usingthe tuner in North, Central or South
America,reset the tuning step from 9 kHz (531
to1 602 kHz allowable) to 10 kHz (530 to 1 640
kHzallowable).
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
AMtuning step.
AMtuning step appears in the display.
