Switching the reverse mode
Ifyou do not per form an operation within
about30 seconds, screen indications start to
reverse,and then continue reversing ever y 10
seconds.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
Reversemode.
Reversemode appears in the display.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn the re-
versemode on.
ONappears in the display.
#Toturn the reverse mode off, press
MULTI-CONTROLagain.
Note
Youcan also turn on or off reverse mode by press-
ingBAND while this unit is turned off. For more
details,see Reverse mode on page 7.
Switching the Ever Scroll
WhenEver Scroll is set to ON, CD textinfor-
mationscrolls continuously in the display. Set
toOFF if you prefer theinformation to scroll
justonce.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
Ever-scroll.
Ever-scrollappears in the display.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn the Ever
Scrollon.
ONappears in the display.
#Toturn the Ever Scroll off, press
MULTI-CONTROLagain.
Calibrating the RPMs
Followthe instructions below to measure the
RPMof your vehicleand records them. By
doingthis, the tachometer of this unit can
workproperly.
!Tachometerof this unit cannot work if you
donot perform theRPM calibration.
!Insome vehicles, the tachometer may not
workproperly even if you per formed the
RPMcalibration.
1 Parkyour vehicle in a safe place and be
sureto apply the parking brake.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
Calibration.
Calibrationappears in the display.
3 KeepRPMs ofthe engine at4 000 rpm
andpress MULTI-CONTROL.
Tomeasure the RPM of your vehicle properly,
keepRPMs ofthe engineat 4 000 rpmfor a
fewseconds.
Whenthe RPM calibration is completed,
Completedis displayed.
#Somevehicles have a rev limiter that kicks in
early(e.g., 3 000 rpm) while parking. In this case,
performRPM measurement at 2 000 rpm.
#Toswitch between 4000 rpm and 2000 rpm,
pushMULTI-CONTROL left or right.
