Basic Operations
%Fastforward or reverse
Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or right
forabout one second and release.
%Selecta track (chapter)
PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right.
Notes
!Whenusing an iPod, iPod Dock Connector to
USBCable is required.
!Readthe precautions for iPod on page 54.
!WhileiPod is connected to this unit, PIONEER
(or (checkmark)) is displayed on the iPod.
!Ifan error message such as ERROR-19 is dis-
played,refer to Error messages on page 50.
!Whenthe ignition switch is set to ACC or ON,
theiPod’s battery is charged while the iPod is
connectedto this unit.
!Whilethe iPod is connected to this unit, the
iPodcannot be turned on or off.
!Beforeconnecting the dock connector of this
unitto the iPod, disconnect the headphones
fromthe iPod.
!TheiPod is turned off about two minutes after
theignition switch is set to OFF.

Operationsto control an iPod with this unit is
designedto be as close to the iPod as possible
tomake operation and song search easy.
!Dependingon the number of files in the
iPod,there may be delay when displaying a
list.
!Ifthe characters recorded on the iPod are
notcompatible with this unit, those charac-
tersare not displayed.
1 PressLIST to switch to the top menuof
thelist search.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select a cate-
gory.
Turnto change the category; press to select.

lectedcategory by pressing and holding

#Toreturn to the previous list, push
MULTI-CONTROLleft.
3 Repeatstep 2 to find a song you want
tolisten to.
#Toreturn to the previous category (one level
higher),press BACK. You can also perform this
operationby pushing MULTI-CONTROL left.
#Toreturn to the top tier of categories, press
andhold BACK.
#Toreturn to the ordinary display, press
BAND/ESCor LIST.
#Ifyou do not operate the list within about 30
seconds,the display automatically returns to the
ordinarydisplay.

%PressDISP to select the desired text in-
formation.
