Dimming the display

You can choose between four brightness for the front
panel display. Note that when selecting sources, the
display automatically brightens for a few seconds.
From the remote control amplifier menu, press
DISPLAY DIMMER repeatedly to change the
brightness of the front panel display.
You may need to press on the Home menu ( )
first before reaching the amplifier menu screen shown
below (use the / (cursor left/right) soft keys to go to
the previous/next menu screen).

Switching the speaker impedance

Default setting: Speaker 6
You can use speakers with a nominal impedance
between 4–16 but if you are using speakers with an
impedance of less than 6, you must change the
impedance setting below.
With the amplifier in standby, press STANDBY/
ON while holding down the OPTION – button.
Each time you do this, you switch between the
impedance settings:
Speaker 4
– Use this setting if your speakers are
rated lower than 6 (down to 4).
Speaker 6
– Use this setting if your speakers are
rated 6–16.
Note
If you select Speaker 4
above, the Stream Direct
setting is fixed at SD:1 NORMAL (see Using the
Stream Direct mode on page 43).
