SNMP Trap Configuration
SNMP trap configuration supports setting up to eight trap destinations. Choose
from Traps 1 through 8 to configure each trap. TableA-2 describes the
parameters for configuring an SNMP trap.
Management Information Base (MIB)The following sections describe the QLogic management information base (MIB).
The MIB consists of four object groups:
“System Information” on page A-3
“Network Port Table” on pageA-4
“Fibre Channel Port Table” on pageA-6
“Sensor Table” on pageA-8
System contact Specifies the name of the person to be contacted to respond to
trap events. The name can be up to 64 characters excluding
the number sign (#), semicolon (;), and comma (,). The default
is undefined.
Authentication traps Enables or disables authentication trap generation in response
to authentication failures. The default is disabled.

Parameter Description
Trap n enabled Enables or disables trap n. If disabled, the trap is not configured.
Trap addressa
aTraps (other than 0.0.0.0) and trap port combinations must be unique. For example, if trap 1 and
trap 2 have the same address they must have different port values. Similarly, if trap 1 and trap 2
have the same port value, they must have different addresses.
Specifies the IP to which the SNMP traps are sent. A maximum of
eight trap addresses is supported. The default for traps is 0.0.0.0.
Trap portaThe port number on which the trap is sent. The default is 162.
Trap version Specifies the SNMP version (1 or 2) with which to format traps.
