Set Port Command

Sets port state and speed for the specified port temporarily until the next switch reset or new configuration activation. This command also clears port counters.

Authority Admin

Syntax set port [port_number] bypass

clear enable

speed [transmission_speed] state [admin_state]

Keywords [port_number]

Specifies the port. Ports are numbered beginning with 0.

bypass

Sends a Loop Port Bypass (LPB) to a specific Arbitrated Loop Physical Address (ALPA) or to all ALPAs on the arbitrated loop.

clear

Clears the counters on the specified port.

enable

Sends a Loop Port Enable (LPE) to all ALPAs on the arbitrated loop.

speed [transmission_speed]

Specifies the transmission speed for the specified port. Choose one of the following port speed values:

1Gb/s

One gigabit per second.

2Gb/s

2 gigabits per second.

Auto

The port speed is automatically detected.

state [admin_state]

Specifies the administrative state for the specified port. Choose one of the following port state values:

Online

Places the port online.

Offline

Places the port offline.

Diagnostics

Prepares the port for testing.

Down

Disables the port.
