Important: If you program Favorite Channel Scan, you can no longer use SCAN for Channel Scan (see “Using Channel Scan” on Page 37). If you want to use the re- mote for Channel Scan after you have programmed it for Favorite Channel Scan, you must reset the entire opera- tion of the remote (see “Using Operation Reset” on Page 44). You lose all stored information.
Note: If no key is pressed for 60 seconds, the remote control automatically exits setup. ;N?J?D= appears, and the remote returns to the previous mode screen.
Follow these steps to program Favorite Channel Scan.
1.Hold down P for at least 3 seconds. 9E:;ý I;J appears.
Note: To exit setup, hold down P again for at least 3 seconds. ;N?J?D= appears, then the

3.Touch SELECT. The last selected mode appears.
4.Touch a device key (TV, VCR/DVD, CAB/SAT, AUX 1, AUX 2, AUX 3, or AUX 4). The selected mode appears.
5.Touch SELECT. ;DJý9>7D appears.
6.Enter a favorite channel by touching the corre-
sponding numbers on the keypad. To accept the entry, touch SELECT. ;DJý9>7D appears.
Note: A channel number can be up to four digits (for example, 2, 13, 132, or 1024).
7.Repeat Step 6 up to nine more times to enter other favorite channels for the same device.
