5.Press and lift out the handset hold- er. Rotate it 180°, then snap it back into place so it holds the handset.

CONNECTING THE

HANDSET

1.Plug one end of the supplied coiled cord into the handset’s modular jack.

2.Plug the other end of the coiled cord into the handset jack on the side of the phone nearest the handset cra- dle.

3.Place the handset on the cradle.

Note: Your local RadioShack store car- ries several different lengths of coiled phone cords that are especially useful when wall mounting the phone.

CONNECTING AC POWER

You can power the phone using the sup- plied 9V, 300-mA AC adapter and a size

KAdaptaplug® adaptor (available at your local RadioShack store).

Note: For the Caller ID function to work and to use LINE 2, you must connect the phone to AC power.

Cautions:

You must use a Class 2

!power source that supplies 9V DC and delivers at least

300 mA. Its center tip must be set to negative and its plug must fit the phone's DC 9V jack. The supplied adapter meets these specifications. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the phone or the adapter.

Always connect the AC adapter to the phone before you connect it to AC power. When you finish, discon- nect the adapter from AC power be- fore you disconnect it from the phone.

Follow these steps to connect the AC adapter.

1.Insert the supplied AC adapter’s barrel plug into the phone’s DC 9V jack.

2.Route the AC adapter’s cord through the strain relief slot.
