Resetting the Log

If you are using one of the dual frequency (or split) selections, some of the fish may appear in the wide 50 kHz beam, but not in the narrower 200 kHz beam. Fish which appear in the narrow 200 kHz beam are located more directly under the transducer, and the symbol will be solid black. Fish which appear in the wider 50 kHz beam are less precisely located, and the symbol will be hollow.

If you are done with your setup changes, press the CLEAR button to go back to the normal display. To select the next menu item, press the V arrow of the Page Control Pad.

Menu Item

The “log” measures how far the boat has traveled through the water. The log records the distance traveled since it was last reset. You can reset the log at any time using the display shown in Fig. 4-7.

Distance reading

The number inside the box shows the distance reading now being displayed by the unit. To reset the log to zero, press either the < or the > arrows of the Page Control Pad.

If you are done with your setup changes, press the CLEAR button to go back to the normal display. To go back to the Range Menu Item, press the V arrow of the Page Control Pad. To move on to the System Setup Menu, press SETUP again.
