MENU Dial

(Used for Tracking During Playback)

During playback, streaks may appear in the playback picture. Press the MENU dial in to activate manual tracking. Rotate it up or down to move the streaks up or down and out of the picture.

•During stop-action playback, rotating the MENU dial while in manual tracking might reduce picture “jitter”

(picture bouncing up and down). Some “jitter” is normal.

Press the MENU dial in again to turn automatic tracking back on. AT flashes in the viewfinder during automatic tracking.

Note: The tracking buttons might have no effect on tapes recorded on other camcorders or VCRs.
