Connecting and switching on thedisplay

Connectingthe display

(foran ov erview of the connection sockets see the illus tration on page 6)
.Plugthe mainspower cord into the mainsinput jack on the plasmaTV and
themains plug into a plug receptacle.
Cableconnection / terrestrial aerial
Ifyou would like to connect a cable, a terrestrialaerial or a satellite recei-
ver,use the ANTENNA socket for this purpose.
Videorecorder / DVD player / satellite receiver
Ifyou receive your TV channels via satellite, connect your receiver by
meansof a SCART cable to the SCART 1 or SCART 2 socket.
Inaddition, SCART 1 has a connection socket for RGB sources,
e.g.a DVD player.
Onlya SCART 2 can be used for connecting a decoder.
DVDplayer
Forconnection of a DVD player or another video source to a YUV-output
pleaseuse the display’s YUV-input.
Ifyour DVD player has a DVI-I output port, you can use the DVI-I input
portand the audio input port LINE IN PC on the displayscreen.
fa DVD playeris connected to the DVI-I input port of the dis-
playscreen, the following must be ensured:
DBeforeyou makea connection between the DVD player and
the displayscreen using the cables, you must disconnect
themains plug of the DVD player from the plug socket.
DOncethe cables are plugged in on the DVD player and on
thedisplay screen, themains plug of the DVD player canbe
reconnectedto the mains.
Ifyou do not comply with this procedure, damage can be
causedto the DVD player or to the display screen!
Notice: If your DVD player has a HDMI interface,you use to the connec-
tionthe supplied adapter cable ”HDMI on DVI”.
PC
Usethe PC DVI-I socket to connect your PC to the display.If your PC has an
analogueVGA output port, use the DVI-I connecting cable supplied on a 15
PinHD-Sub to connect it.
Onolder PC graphic cards it is possible that pin 9 is barred.
