WINDOW POSITIONING/VISIBILITY

Thissection contains commands for controlling the display configuration, zoomandpan operations, and freezing inputs.
Command Arguments Description
BackGround <ON| OFF> Thiscommand is used if you are running the Autosyn c mode
andhave a high -res input connected to the BACKGROUND
INPUTconnector of the SuperView.This command allows
youto turn the backgrou nd window On or Off.
Factorydefault: ON
DoubleBuffer <input#> <ON | OFF> Thedouble buffering fea ture eliminates pointer crossover.
Thisis a visual artifact which can be visible in imagery
containinghorizontal motion—for example,a camera
panningfrom left to right—orscene c hanges. It appears as a
brief,horizontal breakin the pict ure. Youreye may not
discernit, but what yo u are seeing is a portion of one frame
ofvideo and a portion of an other.
WithDoubleBufferON, pointer crossover is eliminated. The
tradeoff is that horizontal motion may appeara little jerkier.
DoubleBufferis applica ble to both RGB and video inputs.
Whensetting Doub leBuffer for input 1, first select the
specificinput type with the INputTypecommand.
DoubleBufferis only valid i f the output host is progressive
(non-interlaced),and if the input is an RGB signal, it must
alsobe progressive. Doub leBuffer is also valid for all video
inputs.

FreeZe <input#| A LL> <ON|
OFF> Turnsfreeze status of selected inputon or off. If Freeze is
on,it delays action of Brightness,Contrast,andGamma
commandsunti l Freezeis turned off. The f reeze status is
maintainedthrough switches between display
configurations,as i ti s the input that is frozen, not the output.
Anychange to the host timing resets the freeze status to off.
Factorydefault: OFF
OverScan <input#> <ON | OFF> Overscanperforms an automatic 2% enlargementon video
inputsonly. It has no effect on WSR values, and it appliesto
allvideo inputs for the specified channel.
Overscanis useful in trimming out excess blanking in video
signalsor hea d switching for VTR sources. Unlike WSR,
whenOverscan is turned on, the enlargement is automatic
andconstant even when switch ing between the various video
inputtypes.
Factorydefault: OFF
PAN <input# > Activates the pan utility for the selected input. Only a
zoomedinpu tca n be panned.
Thecontrols for the utility are as follows:
