If "WL.LAN Signal" is not displayed, "IEEE 802.11b" has not been sel ected for "LAN Type" in
"Network Setup" of the Host Interface menu. Select "IEEE 802.11b" for "LAN Type", and then
check the "WL.LAN Signal" in the Maintenance menu again.
If "802.11 Ad hoc" or "Ad hoc" in "Comm. Mode" of "IEEE 802.11b" in the Host In terfac e menu
is selected, you cannot check the signal. Select "Infrastructur e" and then check it again.
Every time you press the {

} key, the signal is updated.
The signal is indicated as "Good" if the signal strength is 76-100%, "Fair" if the str ength is 41-
75%, "Poor" if the strength is 21-40%, and "Unavailable" if the strength is 0-20%. If the signal is
unstable or unavailable, remove obstacles or move the printer to a plac e where t he signa l can
be received.
Using wireless devices or microwave sources near the printer might affe ct the signal.
