Printing after resetting the printer
After resetting the remote printer, it will be cut off from the pr int serv er for abo ut 30-4 0 seconds be fore
connecting again. Due to the NetWare specification, print jobs may be accepted, but they will not be
printed during this interval.
When using the printer as a remote printer, wait a bout 2 min utes afte r resetti ng the prin ter befor e at-
tempting to print.
Using DHCPYou can use the printer under a DHCP environment. You can also register the printer NetBIOS name
on a WINS server when it is running.
Limitation
❒DHCP cannot be used with IEEE 1394 (IP over 1394). Set a fixed IP address with the control panel,
telnet or a Web browser.
