Enhanced911(E911)Information

ThisphonefeaturesanembeddedGlobalPositioningSystem(GPS)chipnecessaryforutilizing
E911emergencylocationserviceswhereavailable.
Whenyouplaceanemergency911call,theGPSfeatureof��yourphoneseeksinformationto
calculateyourapproximatelocation.Dependingonseveralvariables,includingavailabilityand
accesstosatellitesignals,itmaytakeupto30secondsormoretodetermineandreportyour
approximatelocation.
Important! Alwaysreportyourlocationtothe911operatorwhenplacinganemergencycall.Some
designatedemergencycalltakers,knownasPublicSafetyAnsweringPoints(PSAPs),maynotbe
equippedtoreceiveGPSlocationinformationfromyourphone.

Receive Phone Calls

Whenyoureceiveaphonecallfromacontact,theIncomingcallscreenappearsanddisplaysthe
callerIDicon,name,andphonenumberofthecallingparty.Whenyoureceiveaphonecallfrom
someonewhoisnotstoredinContacts,onlythedefaultcallerIDiconandphonenumberappearon
theIncomingcallscreen.
Note: Ifyourphoneisturnedoff,allcallsautomaticallygotovoicemail.

Answer an Incoming Call

Thefollowingprocedureshowsyouhowtoansweranincomingcall
n Whenthecallcomesin,touchandslide totherighttoanswerthecall.

Mute the Ringing Sound

Youcanmutetheringtonewithoutrejectingthecallbydoingeitherofthefollowing.
n Pressthevolumebuttondown.
n Placethephonefacedownonalevelsurface.SeeMotionSettingstodisplaythesettings
requiredtomuteincomingcallsbyturningoverthephone.
