SHUTTER button

Used for taking an image or recording voice in the Recording mode.

In Movie clip mode

Press the shutter button down once fully to start a movie clip recording.

Individual clips record for as long as there is available capacity in the

memory or 20 minutes, whichever comes first. To stop a recording before the 20 minutes are up, press

the shutter button again.

In Still image mode

Press the shutter button down halfway to activate the autofocus and check the condition of the flash. Press the Shutter button down fully to take and store an image. If you’ve selected voice memo recording, the recording starts after the camera has stored the image data.

Zoom W/T Lever

When the menu is not displayed, this lever works as the OPTICAL ZOOM or DIGITAL ZOOM lever.

This camera has a 26X optical zoom and a 5X digital zoom function. Using both provides a total zoom ratio of 130X.

TELE Zoom

Optical zoom TELE : Push the Zoom W/T lever to the right to enlarge the subject.

Digital zoom TELE : After you have reached maximum optical zoom, push the Zoom W/T lever to the right again to enable digital zoom (software tele).

Release the Zoom W/T lever to stop digital zoom (tele). When digital 5x zoom reaches

its maximum magnification, it will not enlarge the image further even if you push the Zoom W/T lever.
