EVF/LCD button

Your camera adjusts the exposure automatically so that it is appropriate for the shooting conditions. You can deliberately change the exposure by using the exposure compensation button to shoot with excessive exposure

(bright images) or insufficient exposure

(dark images). The exposure compensation button lets you set exposure compensation from -2 to +2 (EV), at intervals of 1/3 EV.

How to set exposure compensation

1.Press the exposure compensation button in the shooting mode.

2.Set a desired exposure compensation

value by using the LEFT/RIGHT but- tons or the Smart Dial.

3.Press the OK button to save a configured value.

The exposure compensation icon () appears on the LCD screen after you set exposure compensation as long as the exposure compensation value is not 0.0EV.

ÄNote that the LCD screen will look blurry or will not display good images if you set a [+] exposure compensation. If you set a [-] exposure compensation, the image on the LCD screen becomes dim.

Exposure compensation setting is available in the [Program], [Aperture. Shutter Priority] and [Movie] modes.

You can shoot with the electronic view finder when it is difficult to see the LCD display due to bright ambient lighting. Switch between EVF and LCD by pressing the EVF/LCD button.
