Settings (Menu 1.6)
Via this menu, you can set up default SMS information.The following options are available:
Service centre: allows you to store or change the number of your SMS centre required when sending messages. You must obtain this number from your service provider.
Validity period: allows you to set the length of time your messages are stored at the message centre while attempts are made to deliver them.
Message type: allows you to set the message type to Text, Fax, Voice, ERMES, X400, or
Common: the following options are available:
Reply path: allows the recipient of your SMS message to send you a reply via your message centre, if the service is provided by the network.
Delivery report: allows you to set on or off. When this function is set to on, the network informs you whether or not your message has been delivered.
Memory Status (Menu 1.7)
You can check the number of SMS or EMS used, followed by the available capacity of phone and SIM memory.
Messages
Delete All (Menu 1.8)
You can delete all messages stored in the SIM card and phone memories in this menu.
1.Scroll to a message box and place a check mark ahead it by pressing the Select soft key.
Selecting All places check marks on all of the message boxes.
2.If necessary, repeat Step 1 to check another box.
3.When you have finished checking, press the Ok soft key.
4.When a confirming message appears, press the Yes soft key to delete all of the messages in the box(es).
Otherwise, press the No soft key.
Broadcast (Menu 1.9)
This network service allows you to receive text messages on various topics, such as the weather or traffic. Messages are displayed immediately as they are received, provided that:
•the phone is in Idle Mode
•the Receive option is set to On
•the message channel is currently active on the channel list
When you get broadcast messages, you can see the messages in Idle Mode. If it is short you can see the display, otherwise, press the New CB soft key to read the message.
