Manual pause dialing.
Pauses are entered manually using the Digit Entry Menu during the dialing process.
To manually dial a number using a pause(s):
1.Enter the phone number of the service you want to connect to (such as the bank’s teleservice phone number). For example, your bank’s tele- service phone number might be a 1.800 number.
2.Press to display digit dialing options.
3.Press the associated digit key to select an option:
¤Press for a Hard Pause.The screen displays a “p”indicating a hard pause. Enter the number
to be sent after the pause by pressing the digit
keys, and then press . After connecting,
press again to transmit the additional num- ber.
¤Press for a 2 Second Pause. The screen displays a “T”indicating a timed pause.The
screen prompts for the number to be sent after the pause. Enter the number to be sent after the
pause by pressing the digit keys, and then press
. The phone transmits the number that follows the pause two seconds after connection.
