Disabling and Removing the Wireless LAN Card
If you do not need the connectivity of your Wireless LAN Card, it is recommended that you disable and remove the card from the computer to preserve battery life:
When removing the Wireless LAN Card, you will lose your connection to the network. Prior to removing the card, make sure you have closed all files and network applications.
Remove the Wireless LAN Card
To safely remove the Wireless LAN Card:
1.Click once on the Remove Hardware icon in the Windows task bar.
2.Select Stop Wireless LAN Card. This message may vary depending on your operating system. For Windows XP, the message is Safely Remove Wireless LAN Card.
3.When the system displays a message indicating you can safely remove the card, click OK and then remove the Wireless LAN Card from your computer.
